OVERVIEW
As the Store Manager, you are the ultimate leader of your business, accountable for sales
performance, people development, operational excellence, and piercing performance. In
addition to delivering professional piercing services, you are responsible for upholding and
enforcing Claire’s Clinical Piercing Standards, ensuring consistent, safe, and precise
execution across every member of your team.
You partner closely with district leadership to drive retail and piercing growth, elevate team
capability through structured coaching, and ensure all services meet documented safety,
sanitation, and consultation standards.
You bring Claire’s retail business pillars to life by creating a high-performance,
accountable culture that delivers measurable results and exceptional guest confidence.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Piercing Excellence I Clinical Leadership
• Deliver professional ear-piercing services in accordance with Claire’s Clinical
Piercing Standards and safety protocols.
• Coach and validate Sales Associates and Part-Time Managers on piercing
technique, consultation quality, and aftercare education to ensure safe, consistent
service execution.
• Ensure piercing stations meet documented cleanliness, organization, and readiness
standards at all times.
• Monitor piercing performance metrics and drive growth through strong conversion,
add-on attachment, and aftercare compliance.
• Conduct routine observation and validation of piercing services to ensure
compliance with clinical standards, sanitation procedures, and documented safety
protocols.
• Reinforce certification requirements and support ongoing skill validation and
development of the team.
• Follow and enforce all sterilization, hygiene, eligibility screening, and incident
reporting procedures without exception.
Customer Experience | Brand Ambassador
• Consistently deliver friendly, engaging services that keep customers coming back
and build loyalty to the brand.
• Set and model expectations for an inclusive, high-energy customer experience.
• Lead by example on the sales floor, ensuring personalized service, strong selling
behaviors, and piercing excellence.
• Resolve customer escalations and service issues quickly, always working to make it
right.
• Build strong awareness of local customer needs, tra??ic patterns, and community
opportunities.
People Leadership | Talent & Culture
• Manage the store’s hiring strategy, including planning needs, recruitment strategy,
projected turnover, and leaves of absence.
• Drive team engagement through consistent recognition and check-ins. Support
career and personal growth through ongoing performance management and
documentation when relevant.
• Lead and monitor the store’s ongoing training strategy, including training for nonkeyholders,
process changes, promotions or job changes, and new programs or
initiatives.
• Perform people-related actions to update team member information, including
approving time-o??, approving shift swaps, updating availability, timecards,
qualifications, and other employee records as needed.
• Address all employee concerns or issues, including knowing when to partner with
internal support (e.g. Human Resources, Corporate Team, etc.) to take appropriate
action.
• Foster a respectful, inclusive, and accountable store culture aligned to company
values.
• Collaborate with peers within the district to understand best practices,
performance drivers, and e??ective execution strategies.
Sales & Business Performance | Ownership
• Consistently meet and/or exceed all sales, piercing, and conversion goals through
proactive planning, team accountability, and ongoing store performance
optimization.
• Analyze performance trends and use insights to adjust strategy and capture
opportunities.
• Execute company initiatives, promotions, and sales-driving strategies.
• Establish clear goals and cascade expectations to the team.
• Shape and influence strategies and initiatives to drive growth for pillars of business.
Operations | Store Excellence
• Open and close the store and manage cash handling accurately.
• Maintain compliance with policies, procedures, safety, and loss prevention
standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store that reflects Claire’s brand
standards and creates a great shopping experience.
• Oversee scheduling, payroll accuracy, cash handling, and store systems.
• Lead shipment processing and inventory accuracy to keep the store well-stocked,
organized, and ready for customers.
• Collaborate with mall management, security teams, and neighboring tenants by
participating in mall-led initiatives and executing local marketing opportunities that
support store visibility and business performance.
• Manage immediate impacts of business disruption to support operational continuity
(e.g. weather, team absenteeism, store closures, health and safety response, etc.).

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Experience & Skills
• You are proficient in operating a POS system to facilitate transactions and manage
sales e??iciently, contributing to smooth store operations.
• You are passionate about providing our customers with opportunities to express
themselves freely every day.
• You are energized by interacting with customers and strive to provide excellent
service throughout their visit.
• You have strong verbal and written communication skills to e??ectively interact with
customers, employees, and management.
• You’re self-motivated and organized, as some of our stores may require you to work
alone at times.
• You show a passion for fashion and stay up to date with the latest trends, which can
contribute to enhancing customer experience and driving sales.
• You are a driven team leader with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• You can create a curated fashion look with products during your shift.
Operational & Physical Requirements
• You can stand during scheduled shifts and maneuver 25 – 75lbs.
• You can work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• You can bend, stoop, perform extended reaching, and climb ladders or step stools
while placing merchandise throughout the store and assisting customers.
• You possess a strong grasp of mathematics, essential for tasks such as inventory
management, sales analysis, and cash handling.

Additional Requirements
• Must become a certified Claire’s Piercing Specialist and demonstrate the ability to
oversee, coach, and validate piercing technique, consultation quality, and
adherence to clinical safety standards across the team.
• Demonstrate controlled, standardized piercing technique with precision and
adherence to placement, sanitation, and safety protocols, maintaining professional
composure with pediatric and first-time guests.
• You hold a high school diploma or equivalent and have 1-2 years of retail
management experience.

Summary

The final compensation will be determined by various factors such as relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location.
