DISCOVERY WORKS SUMMER LEARNING PROGRAM 

CLASSROOM TEACHER (K - 5TH GRADE)

8HRS PER DAY / MONDAY - THURSDAY (JUNE 22ND - JULY 31ST)

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Valid Washington State teaching certificate with appropriate endorsements required.
• Knowledge and application of a variety of learning models, including Cooperative Learning, GLAD and etc.
• Knowledge of effective teaching and classroom management strategies and demonstrated ability to apply that knowledge in a classroom setting.
• Ability to establish and maintain professional and positive working relationships with students, parents, staff and the community from diverse cultural, economic and social backgrounds.
• Willingness to participate in professional growth and development in order to be effective in the classroom.
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Pass background/fingerprint clearance as required for all school district employees.

Funding reduction may result in collapsing positions, depending on student enrollment to meet grant requirements.
