- Two or more (2+) years of work experience with classroom instruction in early childhood education.
- First Aid and Adult/Child CPR certification within 90 days of hire and maintain certification.
- Food Handler permit within 90 days of hire.
- MMR Vaccine/Immunization Record (or evidence of immunity) - See RCW 43.216.690 for more information
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education.
- Three or more (3+) years' experience with classroom instruction, early childhood education, or related field.
- Washington State Early Childhood Education (ECE) Initial Certificate or higher.

Position Information:
The Preschool Lead Instructor serves as the "Preschool/Early Childhood Lead Content Educator" within Edmonds Inclusive Preschool classroom. This position is directly responsible for the overall care and planning for the classroom and individual children. This includes the learning environment, other staff and volunteers.
Students in Edmonds Inclusive Preschool are students with disabilities, students who qualify for funding through the Washington state Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program (ECEAP), and tuition-based preschoolers.
Shift Details: 7 hours a day; 183 day calendar
Continuing vs. Non-Continuing Position: This is a pool posting for several open positions. Applicants should understand that the status, work locations and work schedules will be determined by the specific vacancy they accept.
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Hourly Rate: $48.00 per hour (2026-2027 Professional - Technical Salary Schedule)
