This position acts as the administration building receptionist with human resources responsibilities.

 

Qualifications: High school diploma; Good verbal and literary communication skills; ability to organize time; ability to deal effectively with the public; demonstrate proficiency and aptitude in using computer skills and business machines.

 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Oversees completion of new hire paperwork by new employees and explains employment
policies. Ensures procedures are followed to make sure the necessary paperwork is completed
and distributed to the proper personnel in the Central Administration Office.
2. Maintains an up-to-date computer database of employees. Serves as a resource for compiling information from the database.
3. Calculates payroll of employees and sends the figures to the appropriate payroll specialist.
4. Prepares and maintains employee contracts and employee information worksheet.
5. Updates appropriate forms when employee information changes or position changes within the district.
6. Files the appropriate personnel reports with the State Department of Education by due date.
7. Informs and assists employees in the enrollment of insurance, teacher retirement and all other programs and benefits. Informs the appropriate payroll specialist about the selection.
8. Is accountable for changes that occur to the benefit plans by attending training seminars offered and studying the materials provided.
9. Replies to employee inquiries and informs employees of changes to benefit coverage or cost.
10. Terminates employees from the benefit plans when employee leaves or makes a change in benefits. Information is to be given to the appropriate payroll specialists.
11. Enters and monitors leave for all employees, including entering substitutes and the pay.
12. Monitors and maintains sick leave bank donations for certified and non-certified employees.
13. Assists in sick leave bank approvals for non-certified employees.
14. Assists employees in the exit process due to retirement, resignation or termination of
employment.
15. Verifies timesheets for each employee and submits the information to the appropriate payroll specialist.
16. Provides support regarding a variety of issues, special projects and research as assigned.
17. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to stand, walk, squat frequently.
Ability to lift up to 10 pounds frequently.
