180 DAYS/7 HRS PER DAY

ANTICIPATED START DATE: August 13, 2026
 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid Washington State Teaching Certificate. Required
• English Language Arts endorsement or appropriate Washington State endorsement authorizing assignment at the middle school level. Required
• Demonstrated knowledge of effective literacy instruction. Preferred
• Ability to pass required Washington State Patrol, FBI, and district background checks. Required
• Experience teaching middle school English Language Arts. Preferred
• Experience implementing research-based literacy interventions. Preferred
• Experience working with multilingual learners and diverse student populations.
• Experience with differentiated instruction and inclusive classroom practices.
• Experience using student data to improve instructional outcomes.
• Familiarity with Google Workspace for Education, learning management systems, and instructional technology.
• Demonstrated commitment to culturally responsive teaching and the ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and the diverse communities served by Toppenish School District.

RCW 49.58.110 REQUIREMENTS
Yearly Salary Range: $60,092 - $118,375 (Depending on Experience & Education)
