EisnerAmper’s Outsourced Services - Real Estate group has experienced significant growth and is seeking an intern. This individual will be responsible for servicing real estate clients and managing multi entity portfolios of properties, both commercial and/or residential.

What Work You May be Responsible For:
Make appropriate journal entries to record mortgage, payroll, utilities, management fees, property insurance and property taxes and other cash transactions
Process vendor invoices
Submit wires, ACHs, and internal bank transfers Prepare monthly billing statements
Perform bank reconciliations (operating, security deposit, escrow accounts)
Perform reconciliations of the balance sheet accounts
Perform in-depth review of the income statement
Perform monthly financial review, accrual accounting and GL reclasses
Perform actual-to-budget variance analysis
Prepare monthly financial statement package for ownership to include balance sheet, profit & loss statement, statement of cash flows (if applicable)
Prepare quarterly financial reporting to fulfill lender compliance requirements
Maintain related schedules (property insurance and taxes, compliance, etc.)
Act as liaison to external auditors by explaining journal entries and financial transactions, provide research data and information as requested, and answer questions necessary to complete the audit in a timely manner.
Maintain job costing schedules and prepare construction draw packages
Maintain task management and workpapers
Basic Qualifications:
Must be currently pursuing the following degrees/majors: Bachelors and/or Master's degree in accounting, or equivalent program from an accredited college or university
0-2 years recent public accounting experience
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
Preferred/Desired Qualifications:
Pursuing minimum educational requirements for CPA licensure (which may differ from the educational requirements to sit for the CPA exam) in the state of your assigned office location
Final Graduation Date of Dec 2026 – Sept 2027
Strong academic track record (Minimum GPA: 3.0)
Strong MS Excel and MS Word
Strong time management and organizational skills
Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and with a team
