About this role

Masimo is looking for summer interns to join our Instrument Software Engineering team. You will also learn how to work in a professional environment and have ample opportunity to network with department leaders and other employees in the organization.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Excellent conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving ability.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to effectively interface within a cross-functional team environment.
Experience with any of the following programming languages: C/C++, Java, Python, Swift, Objective-C.
Experience with Yocto
Computer skills (Web): Java programming, Spring framework, REST and/or web services. Experience with front-end technologies such as Angular and React a plus. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.) a plus.

Education:

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or computer engineering.
Must be a current university student to qualify as an intern. Alum candidates and students graduating May/June 2026 are not eligible for intern opportunities.

Location:

This position will report on-site in Irvine, CA.

Compensation:

The anticipated hourly range for this position is $22/hr - $25/hr.
