Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Product Management Intern for our Summer 2026 program to contribute to the strategic growth of our Avtec dispatch products portfolio. The intern will work closely with Product Managers to gain hands-on experience in the product development process, support lifecycle and contribute to key strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Conducting market research and competitive analysis to identify new opportunities and trends.
  • Assisting in the documentation and organization of product requirements and feature specifications.
  • Supporting the team in managing the product backlog and preparing for sprint planning meetings.
  • Collecting, analyzing, and synthesizing product usage data to support data driven decision making.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, and sales) to support the alignment on product requirements and execution priorities.

Preferred Experience

  • RF/Telecommunications: Interest in wireless communication concepts and an eagerness to learn about mobile radio and communication systems.
  • Software: Familiarity with software development processes (e.g., Agile/Scrum) and common application types (web, desktop, or mobile).
  • Hardware: Basic awareness of hardware design cycles and system integration concepts.
  • Networking: Foundational knowledge of IP networking and network protocols.
  • Industry: Interest in the enterprise or public safety dispatch industry. Technical knowledge of public cloud, broadband infrastructure, radio standards, or telephony products are a plus.
