Job Purpose

We are looking for an enthusiastic intern to join our Treasury Capital Market (TMC) team. This internship offers hands-on experience and an opportunity to learn about The TCM department’s function within the industry. He or She will gain exposure to Credit Markets, debt instruments, ABS and funding plan relationships. He or She will develop their skills in communication, analysis and problem-solving.

 

The Treasury Capital division focuses on liquidity for the company.  We establish what funding strategies to pursue, determine timing for execution and provide support for ongoing reporting, compliance and investor outreach for our funding products.

Key Accountabilities

Some key responsibilities and/or projects will include but not limited to

 

  • Quality-checking data for ABS transactions
  • Assistance with offering documentation
  • Supporting ABS Assistant Manager & Senior Analysts with ad-hoc analysis

 

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

We are looking for inspiring students with diverse backgrounds and experiences, open minds, and a disciplined work ethic. As an Intern she/he must have: 

 

  • Jr. Sr. or Masters/ MBA pursuing a degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Math or related fields

 

We are seeking an intern with who holds the following requirements and/or qualifications

 

  • Prefer someone with knowledge of capital markets, debt instruments or securitization, or at least a broad knowledge of credit markets, economic data impacts, and some historical knowledge of credit cycles.

 

Knowledge in the following:

 

  • Strong Excel skills; comfortable working with large datasets; strong writing abilities; willingness to ask questions and learn quickly

 

Requirements for the program

  • Must be enrolled as a Junior, Senior, Master’s, or MBA student at an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Available to work onsite at our Torrance location.
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, for a minimum duration 6–8 weeks (depending on school schedule).

 

Please note: There is no guarantee of full-time employment upon completion of the internship.

Paid Compensation $22.50 Undergrad, $29.25 Graduate students (no negotiation on compensation)
