Job Purpose

We are looking for an enthusiastic intern to join our Treasury Services team. This internship offers hands-on experience and an opportunity to learn about Treasury Services’ function within the industry.  He or She will gain exposure to modelling interest expense/income sensitivity to rate changes, financial modeling, risk‑analysis capability, company capital structures and debt portfolios, He or she will develop their skills in communication, analysis and problem-solving

 

The Treasury Services division focuses on financial analysis, treasury support, funding strategy optimization, and securitization processes to support corporate decision‑making.

Key Accountabilities

Some key responsibilities and/or projects will include but are not limited to:

 

  • Conduct peer comparison of capital structure and debt instruments across comparable companies.
  • Create rating methodology docket pertaining to long term, short term, ABS, captives, etc.
  • Perform risk‑management analysis, portfolio sensitivity testing, and scenario modelling.
  • Develop models for forecasting debt, interest expense and interest income under various rate environments.
  • Support ABS transaction flow analysis, documentation review, and structuring insights.
  • Assist in preparing an ABS process cheat sheet consolidating key steps, stakeholders, and terminology.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

We are looking for inspiring students with diverse backgrounds and experiences, open minds, and a disciplined work ethic. As an Intern she/he must have: 

 

Seeking a Jr. Sr. or Masters candidate pursuing a degree in Finance, Economics, Business or related fields. 

 

We are seeking an intern with who holds the following knowledge and/or qualifications

 

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Basic understanding of financial statements and corporate finance concepts.
  • Familiarity with Excel modelling; interest in fixed income or treasury operations.
  • Ability to code (e.g., Python) for data analysis, modelling, and automation.
  • Preferred Skills / Technical Knowledge:
  • Knowledge of capital markets, debt instruments, or securitization.
  • Understanding of interest rate dynamics and risk‑management frameworks.

 

 

 

Requirements for the program

  • Must be enrolled as a Junior, Senior, Master’s, or MBA student at an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Available to work onsite at our Torrance location.
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, for a minimum duration 6–8 weeks (depending on school schedule).

 

Please note: There is no guarantee of full-time employment upon completion of the internship.

Paid Compensation $22.50 Undergrad, $29.25 Graduate students (no negotiation on compensation)
