Responsibilities to Anticipate for this role:
The 2nd Shift Materials Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations in the warehouse to ensure accuracy, efficiency, quality, safety, and timely delivery of products. This role includes managing warehouse team, developing and enforcing policies and procedures, coordinating workflow, driving continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring accurate timekeeping for employees to support correct payroll processing. The role may involve hands-on material handling tasks to support the team such as counting, picking, fork truck utilization, shipment prep, and root causing and addressing issues/concerns.

Shift:
Monday - Thursday 3:30p - 1:00a
Every Other Friday - 3:30p - 12:00a
- Supervise, coach, and develop team members to achieve performance targets.
- Monitor workflow, production schedules, and output to meet quality and delivery standards.
- Ensure compliance with safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations.
- Resolve material issues quickly and effectively to minimize downtime.
- Data analysis to root cause inventory discrepancies and material utilization patterns.
- Conduct shift meetings, communicate expectations, and maintain employee accountability.
- Collaborate cross functionally across all teams to optimize processes.
- Drive lean manufacturing principles and 5S practices on the floor.
- Identify training needs and support employee skill development.
- Participate in audits, root cause analysis, and corrective action plans.
- Ensure accurate and timely timekeeping, including approving timecards, managing punches, and supporting payroll with any discrepancies or corrections.
- Support training and onboarding of new employees and cross training of current team members.
- Hold team members accountable for performance, behavior, attendance, and safety expectations.
- Document and deliver write up, and assist in performance improvement plans as necessary in coordination with HR.
- Performs other related duties to benefit the mission of the organization or as assigned by your leader.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of manufacturing experience, including 7+ years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Familiarity with timekeeping and payroll systems (e.g., Oracle, WFM).
- Strong leadership, communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Comfortable addressing performance and attendance issues and enforcing accountability.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, and ERP/WMS systems.
- Ability to work varied shifts, including overtime and weekends as required.
- Must be able to stand for long periods, walk, bend and lift up to 50lbs.
