Job Purpose
Support month-end close processes, perform detailed analysis, and ensure complete & accurate results for
Financial Reporting (SOX & IFRS). Support monthly journal entries, reconciliations, financial reporting, external &
internal audits, and process improvement for Honda Finance business unit.
Key Accountabilities
Support month-end close processes, primarily AHM with some support of HDMA, including creation of journal entries and creation of analysis of results to support completeness, accuracy, and compliance of financial reporting.
Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations and creation of reporting to review with management and follow-up with associates across the organization.
Support analysis and creation of information to support internal and external audit processes for quarterly and year end audits.
Creation and maintenance of SOP’s for G/L and Financial reporting area
Support implementation of Business Plan Themes
Support automation initiatives and cross company collaboration/efficiency projects
Support Government Survey Activity
Provide mentorship and training for Co-Op Associates
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
Minimum Educational Qualifications
4 Year Bachelor Degree in Accounting
Minimum Experience Co-Op to 2 Years Experience
Other Job-Specific Skills
Accounting Systems experience (SAP Preferred)
Microsoft Office skills
Customer Service Mindset
Working Conditions
Open office environment
On-site Position (80/20) Ohio or California
5% Travel
Overtime as necessary
