Job Summary

The Accountant is responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting operations of Good 2 Go Stores, including reconciliations, non-trade accounts payable, store improvements, equipment (fixed assets), and general ledger activity. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, maintains strong internal controls, and supports month-end and year-end processes in a fast-paced, multi-location retail environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Accountant will primarily be focused on

Ensuring information is complete and accurate for month-end close to meet company-established deadlines and standards
Preparing and completing general ledger entries
Supporting the daily activities of A/P and A/R, including recognizing capital expenditures versus operating expenses
Ensuring expense accruals are correctly recorded
Reconciling lottery transactions, allocating lottery payments, and ensuring stores complete weekly lottery submissions
Analyzing operating costs and providing recommendations for improvement
Completing inventory management and controlling processes for the Company
Responding to inquiries from Controller, Vice President and President
