Accountant (Crawfordsville, IN, US, 47933)

Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Steel Indiana is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Accountant. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate knowledge in general ledger accounting; month-end closing and financial report preparation; computer skills including advanced use of Excel and other Microsoft Office applications; internal control processes; problem solving and root cause analysis; and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. Nucor will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. 4-year degree in Accounting or related field and 1 year relevant experience in Accounting or Finance (OR) 2-year degree in Accounting or related field and 3 years relevant experience in Accounting or Finance
2.  Experience with Excel and other Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Two or more years of Accounting experience in a Manufacturing environment
2. Five or more years of experience in Accounting or Finance
3. Strong knowledge of GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley, or financial reporting
