Job Duties:
- The Accountant/Fiscal Analyst perform complex and detailed accounting duties for the SC Voucher in accordance with South Carolina Enterprise Information System (SCEIS). Process financial transactions, maintain accounting systems, communication with other agencies and outside vendors and execute banking transactions.
- Verify/balance daily Child Care Voucher System (CCVS) payment run. Verifies Service Voucher match payment data on provider remittance advices. Adjust the SVL to reflect rejections, adjustments. Uploads file to CGs Office for payment approval.
- Verify payments from State Treasurer to ACH reports & check reports. Errors in payments should be reported to the supervisor for issuing stop payments or redacting ACH transactions to incorrect payees.
- Review provider adjustments keyed by Control to ensure accuracy of weeks of service being recouped or paid. Notify Control staff when adjustments have been pulled for process for ending client connections. Process daily request to purge/and or reprint provider Service Voucher Log.
- Prepare letters for return of paper SVL's missing documentation as per policy and procedure. Manage imaging system Quality Control, ensures information entered is accurate.
- Serve as backup for Foster Care Recoupment requests via SAP. Emails notices to the facilities for the recoupments entered for the netting against the semi-monthly payments. Serves as designated backup during supervisor absence. Responsible for assisting staff within department and agency with questions/concerns during supervisor absence. Assist with the Vendor Table enrollment process for Childcare providers.
- Perform other related duties as necessary.
Position Duties
A High School Diploma and five (5) years of financial experience.
An Associate Degree and three (3) years of financial experience.
A Bachelor's Degree in accounting, business administration, economics, finance, government, management, or public administration. A Bachelor's Degree in any field and one (1) year of financial experience.
A Master's Degree or higher may be substituted for the required work experience.
