The listed pay range or pay rate reflects compensation for a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) position. Actual compensation may differ depending on assigned hours and position status (e.g., part-time).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Possesses knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and internal control systems and utilizes these in all aspects of work. Applies accounting theories in daily work, estimates, and analysis and adequately documents basis for accounting conclusions.
- Maintains accurate logs and records of various financial activity or statistics to support accounting entries and information. Ensures spreadsheets, analyses, and journal entries agree appropriately to other data sources. Reviews data and questions validity as appropriate to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Files and maintains historical records in a logical manner and efficiently retrieves records as necessary.
- Performs account reconciliation timely and accurately. Investigates and resolves descrepancies timely and appropriately. Prepares journal entries timely and accurately and attaches proper documentation to journal entries.
- Effectively navigates computerized general ledger system to complete accounting transactions and perform necessary transaction research.
- Performs comparative analysis of statistical and financial information to identify unusual items and investigates, makes necessary corrections or explanations. Draws reasonable conclusions based on financial analyses and clearly presents conclusions.
- Prepares timely journal entries and reconciliation and assists in the preparation of the foundation's financial statements. Prepares monthly reconciliation and financial information for the gift shops on a timely basis.
- Effectively maintains the budget and reporting for the Mental Health Grant.
- Prepares work-papers for auditor requests and assists in preparation of footnote support.
- Effectively performs the billing, posting, and reconciliation of various other receivable activity. Properly records investment balances and activity and maintains related schedules on a monthly basis.
- Assists the senior financial reporting analyst with special projects that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of CHS' accounting and financial reporting processes.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or similar business certification or education.
- One year previous accounting or finance experience.
