Position Type: Permanent Full Time/Part Time: Full Time

$23.86 to $26.25 hourly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Government Center/Viera. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Performs entry-level professional work in monitoring, maintaining, and reviewing financial records for the Solid Waste Department. Work includes processing invoices, purchase orders, and change orders; performing data entry into SAP; opening and closing purchase orders; and tracking operating expenditures by cost center and capital projects. The work requires familiarity with the department's functions, policies, and practices.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field; OR two (2) years [60 semester or 90 quarter hours] of college-level credit with major coursework in accounting, finance, or a closely related field PLUS two (2) years of experience in accounting or a closely related field. Two (2) years of experience utilizing Microsoft Excel at an intermediate level, including use of formulas and data analysis, is preferred. Experience with SAP is preferred. Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida driver’s license and maintain said license during the term of employment. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
