As an Accountant, Tax Compliance, you will support the income tax compliance and tax accounting cycles through collaboration with the Tax Department and cross-functional business partners. This role plays a key part in ensuring the integrity of tax reporting, maintaining accurate tax-related financial records, and supporting federal and state compliance efforts while contributing to special tax planning initiatives.

Responsibilities:

What You Will Do

In all of your duties, you will have a relentless, obsessive, yet disciplined approach to manage all details to perfection and deliver desired results.

• Assist with maintaining general ledger balances for selected tax accounts, including preparation and review of related reconciliations.
• Maintain tax books within the fixed asset accounting system to ensure accurate tax depreciation and compliance reporting.
• Gather data and assist with preparation of tax provision and income tax return workpapers.
• Prepare federal and state income tax returns, including quarterly estimates and extensions.
• Support tax research efforts and assist with special tax planning projects as needed.
• Collaborate with internal departments to collect and validate data necessary for accurate tax reporting.
• Assist in responding to tax authority inquiries and support audit documentation as required.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations and company policies.
• Perform additional duties and projects as assigned to support the Tax Department and Finance organization.

In addition to that, we require:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Accounting.
• CPA or CPA-eligible.
• 1–2 years of public accounting or corporate tax experience.
• Excellent organizational, computer, and communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

We will give special consideration to candidates who have:
• Master of Taxation degree.
• Advanced data analytical skills using Microsoft Excel and/or other financial software tools.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Must be able to sit for long periods of time and use a computer keyboard and/or mouse while viewing a computer screen. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds and have finger/wrist/arm mobility and finger dexterity. Must be able to work a flexible schedule shared by other department members, including occasional after-hours or weekend work as needed.
