About this role

 

The Accountant, Treasury Operations is primarily responsible for day-to-day activities relating to premium billing operations, participate in the support of our internal customers in Customer Solutions with payment corrections and pay plan updates, general ledger journal entries, suspense and bank account reconciliations and involvement in daily claim recovery deposit process. The candidate will also be tasked with partnering with the Treasury Manager to lead business transformation and change management initiatives within the Treasury unit.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Works independently with judgment to communicate up when appropriate
  • Build a solid understanding of how each billing transaction affects general ledger, bad debt and our internal and external customers.
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Process daily refund and loss payments from Workday.
  • Handle various policy adjustment/payment research requests
  • Participate in the premium suspense reconciliation process. Research and resolve reconciling items.
  • Prepare daily bank reconciliations to ensure premium refunds are balanced to bank activity. Assist in improving processes to prevent re-occurrence of discrepancies.
  • Assist Treasury Manager in ensuring superior customer service is provided to our internal partners across the Enterprise.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Accounting or Finance from a four-year college or university
  • 0-2 years of related experience preferred.
  • Experience in handling premium billing tasks within Sapiens is a plus
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Proficient with MS Excel, MS Access and MS Word.
  • Prior Workday Financials experience is preferred.

 

SALARY RANGE

The pay range for this position is $55,000 to $79,500 annually. Actual compensation will vary based on multiple factors, including employee knowledge and experience, role scope, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.​
