About this role
Summary/Objectives
The Accounting Administrative Intern supports the accounting and administrative teams by assisting with financial recordkeeping, data entry, and administrative tasks. This role provides hands-on experience in basic accounting practices, financial reporting, and administrative functions.
Essential Functions
- Rotational exposure across key Finance departments (Billing, Interterritorial, AR, AP, Payroll, Accounting)
- Shadow and learn core business processes, systems, and workflows
- Assist with light administrative and accounting tasks (data validation, reporting support, process tracking)
- Support special projects and ad hoc initiatives as assigned across administrative functions
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This position will be a parttime role consisting of an average of 25 hours per week.
Required Education and Experience
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information responsibly
