Job Description
The Accounting Analyst III plays a key role within the Statutory Reporting team, supporting the preparation and delivery of financial reporting and regulatory filings across multiple insurance entities. This role is responsible for executing day-to-day accounting and reporting activities, managing priorities across multiple deliverables, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with state regulatory requirements.This position offers hands-on experience with statutory reporting, financial analysis, and regulatory processes in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare quarterly and annual statutory financial statements and supporting schedules
- Manage reporting for assigned entities, ensuring timely and accurate regulatory filings
- Support month-end and quarter-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis
- Perform variance analysis and maintain analytical schedules to support financial results
- Execute control checks, data validations, and compliance activities
- Review documentation for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to guidelines
- Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve discrepancies and ensure alignment
- Contribute to process improvements, including use of automation or emerging tools
- Manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, reporting-driven environment
Key Qualifications:
- 0–2 years of experience in accounting, finance, or related field
- Foundational knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/statutory preferred)
- Strong Excel skills required; experience with financial systems (e.g., SAP) a plus
- CPA or CPA-track preferred
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Detail-oriented with strong ownership mindset
- Interest in automation, data tools, or AI is a plus

Compensation offered for this role is 50,000.00 - 75,050.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation.
