Position Summary
ASP is looking for an Accounting Analyst Intern for summer 2026! This Accounting Analyst Intern role will gain meaningful hands-on experience across multiple areas of the Accounting team, contributing directly to global standardization efforts, AP process improvements, and broader automation and optimization initiatives. This role is ideal for a proactive, curious, and analytical student seeking exposure to real operational accounting and cross-functional projects in a dynamic environment.
The intern will rotate among several project owners for development and mentoring, including team members in Technical Accounting, Accounts Payable, and Global Accounting Operations.
Key Responsibilities & Project Work include
- Contribute to global accounting operations projects focused on automation, reconciliation consistency and SAP reporting improvements
- Support global accounting standardization by gathering data, comparing accounting treatments across regions, and assisting with policy documentation
- Assist Accounts Payable process improvement initiatives, including workflow optimization, Concur enhancements, and T&E/AP metric tracking
- Perform data cleanup and analysis to support standard costing, system improvements, and broader finance transformation initiatives
General Duties and Learning Objectives
- Participate in monthly accounting close tasks, including basic journal entry preparation or reconciliation support
- Help document processes and identify areas for improvement in workflows and controls
- Support internal and external audits by gathering data and performing sample testing
- Build professional skills in Excel, ERP navigation, data analysis, and business communication
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or a related field, graduating December 2026 or later.
- Strong analytical skills, curiosity and attention to detail
- Interest in accounting systems, automation, and process improvement
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and highly interested in learning other software applications as needed
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to learn, ask questions, and work collaboratively in a team environment
