Requirements / Qualifications

ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT-SCHOOL SITE Dinuba Intermediate School 8 HOURS/10 MONTHS 7:30 - 4:30 PM *Start and end times may vary depending on site needs* Qualifications: 1. Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school supplemented by college level coursework in accounting and two years of clerical, financial or accounting experience. 2. Perform a variety of technical accounting duties in the review, evaluation and adjustment of assigned accounts. Maintain accurate financial and statistical records. 3. Prepare and evaluate comprehensive accounting reports and statements. Verify, balance and adjust accounts. Assemble, organize and prepare data for records and reports. Reconcile and balance assigned accounts. 4. Compare numbers and detect errors efficiently. Process various requisitions; supply requests; print purchase orders and obtain appropriate authorizations; submit orders for various site departments as assigned; consult with Principal to verify that appropriate budget is being used for requisition; issue refunds or reimbursements as assigned. Review, process, evaluate and verify a variety of financial information. 5. Operate standard office equipment including a computer and assigned software. 6. Communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Meet schedules and time lines. 7. Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others. 8. Perform arithmetic calculations quickly and accurately.
