As an Accounting Clerk-Accounts Payable at the Grand Geneva Resort & Spa, for the accurate, timely, and compliant processing of vendor payments for the Resort.

What will you be doing?

  • Process vendor invoices accurately and timely, ensuring proper approvals, documentation, and compliance with tax regulations.
  • Match purchase orders, receiving records, contracts, and invoices to ensure accurate payment processing.
  • Maintain vendor records, including contracts, certificates of insurance, licenses, and permits in accordance with Resort and Corporate standards.
  • Verify vendor statements and resolve discrepancies with vendors and internal departments.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for departments regarding invoice submission, expense processing requirements, and payment status.
  • Maintain electronic filing systems for invoices, contracts, and capital project documentation.
  • Identify system conflicts and process inefficiencies; recommend and assist with approved improvements.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of purchasing and accounting systems, including BirchStreet, Canon Therefore, and PeopleSoft.
  • Assist with monthly close activities, including preparation of accruals and research as requested by Accounting Management or department leaders.

What do you bring to the role?

  • The role requires a high school diploma and preferably experience in accounts payable, accounting, or customer service.
  • Candidates should have strong computer and intermediate Excel/Microsoft Office skills, with hospitality accounting knowledge a plus.
  • Success in the role depends on strong organizational, analytical, communication, and interpersonal abilities, along with the capacity to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Professional customer interaction, flexibility to work weekends/holidays, adherence to grooming and safety standards, and experience with training or procedural documentation are preferred.
