Job Description:The Production Finance Accounting Clerk supports the VP of Production Finance, liaises with film productions, and processes payments through internal NBCU systems. The position handles highly confidential financial and proprietary information and interacts with all levels of the Studio, including Senior Management, Physical Production, Post-Production, VFX, Tax, Development, Business Affairs, Legal, and other business units of the Company.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Prepare pre‑production payroll and production prep‑period accounting documents
- Assist with the gathering and submission of tax documents required for vendor setup and proper tax reporting
- Process payments for foreign and domestic vendors
- Assist in forecasting production funding for Production Finance
- Reconcile cash actuals for Production Finance for submission to the FP&A group
- Update production incentive forecasts and analyses for various projects
- Work with Comcast Treasury to open and close production bank accounts, and request or remove access for accounting teams
- Maintain legal entity status and bank account status shared tracking logs
- Maintain a log of foreign currency transactions made to/from the shared VFX bank accounts
- Create foreign exchange spreadsheets, estimate FX currency gain/loss, and coordinate forward currency purchases with Treasury
- Manage production wire transfers and various transaction types, and provide payment confirmation
- Establish new show accounting office setup
- Set up accounting teams with software, system access and equipment
- Prepare and distribute new show production packets & system orders
- Interface with all production accounting offices
- Prepare journal entries for studio charges
- Research studio costs and obtain supporting documentation
- Distribute all incoming production accounting reports and related documents
- Update and distribute various internal Production Finance reports
- Serve as the Studio point of contact for questions from production regarding general company policies and procedures
- Serve as a back‑up for more advanced functions in the absence of the more senior Finance executives that it supports
- Coordinate travel and reconcile T&L expenses via the Concur system
- Provide administrative support to the VP of Production Finance
- General office maintenance, including filing of confidential documentation
- Assist and/or coordinate other special projects as required (for example: funding reconciliations, bank reconciliations, implementation of new procedures, etc.)
Qualifications:
- Must be willing to join Local OPEIU L174 Union.
- 2+ years of experience in a fast‑paced, high‑volume professional environment, ideally within the entertainment industry, with demonstrated organizational and analytical capabilities
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Movie Magic Budgeting and PSL+/SmartAccounting preferred
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality when handling highly sensitive materials and information
- Must be willing to work in Universal City, California

Additional Requirements:
Hybrid: This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.
Hourly Rate: $32.330 as determined by the Local OPEIU L174 Union.
