Joining our dynamic Finance and Accounting TEAM and playing a pivotal role, you will ensure that accounting and payroll-related functions are completed in a timely and accurate manner while maintaining compliance with established policies, laws, and regulations.

As an Accounting Clerk, your attention to detail and commitment to accuracy will ensure that financial transactions, invoices, and expense reports are processed efficiently and correctly. You will also play an important role in maintaining organized financial records, reconciling accounts, responding to payroll-related inquiries, and tracking missing employee timesheets to ensure all employee and financial data remains accurate. Your efforts will directly support the financial integrity and operational efficiency of the organization.

 

Essential Job Functions: 

  • Process invoices and control expenses by receiving, verifying, reconciling, and posting financial transactions
  • Maintain accurate financial records including invoices, receipts, reports, and checks within company systems
  • Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
  • Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
  • Process and verify employee expense reports using company accounting software
  • Update outstanding balances and apply appropriate credit memos as needed
  • Track missing employee timesheets and assist with payroll-related questions from employees
  • Maintain organized accounting records, reports, and files in accordance with company standards
  • Support the accounting team with additional administrative and financial tasks as assigned

Physical Demands:

  • Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (occasionally:  activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time), and/or a negligible amount of force frequently (Frequently: activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time), to lift, carry, push, or pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.  Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.  Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
  • Inside: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.  A job is considered “inside” if the worker spends approximately 75 percent or more of the time inside.

Qualifications:

  • Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or any other combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance (specific standards available).
  • Additional language ability preferred.

 Experience

  • One years of accounting experience preferably in a hotel.
