Status: Full-Time Hourly 

FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt

Summary of the Position: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Accounting Clerk. As an Accounting Clerk, you will assist in maintaining financial records and performing various administrative tasks. Your attention to detail and strong organizational skills will be crucial in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations.

In this role, you will be responsible for reconciling bank statements, processing invoices, and tracking expenses. Provide general administrative support to the accounting department, including filing documents, managing correspondence, and responding to inquiries.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of basic accounting principles and excellent numerical skills. You should possess exceptional attention to detail, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams are also essential.

Responsibilities

  • Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies
  • Process invoices and track payments
  • Track and manage expenses, ensuring compliance with company policies
  • Support the accounting department in daily administrative tasks
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate records of financial transactions
  • Assist with audits, ensuring all required documents are provided in a timely manner

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in accounting is preferred
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and procedures
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
