Position Title: Accounting Clerk
Reports To: Cindy Holland
Department: Administration/Accounting
Hours per shift: 9-hour shift, with two 10-minute breaks and a 1-hour lunch, overtime may include some nights, weekends, or holidays, as Business needs dictate
Wage: Salaried (Non-Exempt) D.O.E.
Position Purpose: The Administrative Assistant’s main duties will include but are not limited to reception, production, quality & downtime reporting, CMMS, and by-products accounting
Position Functions:

Accounting Clerk: Essential Functions* These duties are designated as ADA Essential Functions and must be performed in this job. |

Enter and process production, quality and downtime reports for Roseburg mill. |
|
By-products reporting and accounts receivable to include data uploads, invoicing, and payment processing. |
|
Process invoices for purchase orders and freight. |
|
Enter and reconcile purchase orders for corporate office supplies. |
|
Maintain company-wide action plan logs. |
|
Support mill and office departments with their administrative needs. |
|
Practice excellent communication and customer service skills. |
|
Obtain notarial commission and notarize documents for the corporate office. |
|
Primary position for answering phones and assisting guests at the front desk. |
|
Ensure that office area is organized. |
|
Non-Essential Functions These duties are secondary in nature and are not classified as ADA essential. |
|
Cross train to back up other office personnel. Tasks may include credit, cash, AP or other general office tasks. Additional duties may be assigned for training and production purposes. |
Working Environment: Inside 95%, average temperature 70 degrees F, Outside 5% Atmospheric conditions: Ventilation, little to no dust or particulate matter exposure. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and/or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. Personal Protective Equipment Required: (1) Eye Protection. (2) Hearing Protection. (3) Approved Footwear (5) High Visibility Clothing. (When entering and exiting mill or while out on the floor)
Physical Demands: See the attached Job/Task Evaluation and Physical Capabilities portion; this position requires constant use of hearing and vision, frequent bending, twisting, pushing/pulling and reaching, and occasional lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling more than 50 lbs.
Skills: Will generally work independently with limited supervision. Must be self-directed in identifying and efficiently completing each task. Will coordinate and collaborate with varying levels of the organization.
• Associates degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Must pass basic office skills pre-employment test.
• Must possess excellent data entry, 10-key and computer skills. Strong Excel & database knowledge required and MS Word & M3/SSRS reporting are preferable.
• Work accuracy, attention to detail, ability to multi-task and ability to meet strict deadlines are required.
• Must be able to work at fast pace with frequent interruptions while maintaining accuracy.
• Must be able to troubleshoot.
• Must possess strong communication skills.
• Must possess a customer service and can-do attitude.
Required Experience: High School Graduate. Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Strong MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills. Strong internet research skills. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Safety: (1) Do only maintenance you are trained to do and keep all body parts out of machinery. (2) Always use our 14-step lockout/tagout procedure before doing any maintenance, clearing jams, or getting into machinery for any reason; be aware of stored energy. (3) Always use proper body mechanics (ex: don’t overreach, get help as needed to push loads out). (4) Use proper PPE (gloves, eye protection, hearing protection). (5) Be aware of and always communicate with your co-worker (ex: forklift driver). (6) Will be required to read and write during safety training.
