About this role
Clean Harbors is seeking an Accounting Intern to be located at our Norwell, MA Headquarters. The Accounting Intern will assist with the monthly financial close, internal and external reporting, and in forecasting budgets.

Responsibilities
- Ensure that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner
- Assist with the preparation of balance sheet account reconciliations
- Help with the preparation of monthly journal entries
- Analyze business trends and results, including performing month end flux analysis for certain balance sheet and income statement accounts
- Assist with tying out company financial statements and footnotes to be filed in the company’s SEC filings
- Perform SOX control testing and provide support for our external audits
Qualifications
- Currently working towards a Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance/Related field
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to prioritize between multiple tasks
