Accounting Intern

What You Will Do:

• Assist department with some administrative tasks that may include scanning, filing, retrieving information from filing cabinets or online software.
• Assist construction accountants in preparing daily, weekly and monthly reports and draws. 
• Research accounting issues under direction of Construction Associates and accounting team leadership. 
• Code and enter project invoices into accounting software platform.
• Assist with monthly draw process for assigned projects.
• Review subcontracts, purchase orders and change orders and reconcile same during monthly draw process and close out.
• Attend meeting with project teams as needed.
• Any other tasks assigned or directed.

What You Will Need To Succeed:

• Ability to maneuver through different software systems, including use of industry-specific software and excel.
• Typing and data entry skills.
• Familiarity with generally accepted accounting principles.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, and accounting system software.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and relate effectively, productively, and positively with other associates.
• Ability to multitask and change focus frequently. 

• Consistent, regular, and in-person attendance at the workplace during regular working hours.
