Brown & Brown is seeking an Accounting Intern to join our growing team in Dedham, MA.

The Accounting Intern will provide administrative support to the Profit Center to promote a professional and courteous business and support the delivery of exceptional customer service.  

How You Will Contribute:

  • Assumes administrative roles involving duties and responsibilities of assigned department.

  • Gains experience in assigned department through project completion and job shadowing.

  • Participate in meetings, events and activities as assigned.

  • Explores other areas of interest to include learning more about the facets of the company, both within and outside of the assigned department.

  • Complete assigned internship projects to drive understanding of business operations.

  • Gain familiarity with and follow agency guidelines, policies, and procedures. 

  • Foster and seek relationships with teammates across all levels of Brown & Brown.

  • Promote teamwork within department and profit center through support, knowledge sharing and a positive attitude.

  • Pursues a course of personal, professional development.

Skills & Experience to Be Successful:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Proficient with MS Office Suite.

  • Proficient knowledge use of office equipment (including but not limited to copy machines, printers, faxes, binding machine, etc.).

  • Exceptional telephone demeanor.

  • Ability to work in-office full time.

  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

  • Enrolled or attending college or university. (Preferred)
