Job Summary Performs basic accounting and analysis tasks and special projects in the Financial Services Department as requested. May communicate Financial Services information to other Health System personnel. The position reports to the Financial Services Manager. Essential Functions - Posts general ledger journal entries as part of the monthly accounting close process. - Prepares monthly reconciliations of designated general ledger balance sheet accounts. - Assists with monitoring daily cash. - Assists with the annual budget preparation. - Gathers data from various source (Children’s Insight Report Center, Excel Power Query, GL, other) and writes/generates reports as requested. - Assists with variance analysis. - Performs basic clerical functions such as refund deposits, accounts payable filing, bank reconciliations, data collection etc. - Reviews check requests and employee reimbursement forms received in A/P. Ensure proper completion of forms with submitting individual prior to entry into online payment systems. - Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis, and investigate issues, provide explanations, and interpretation. Education: - Bachelor's Degree Working towards a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or working towards a Masters of Accounting. required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Requires the knowledge of various accounting principles and data processing functions. - The position requires exercise of judgment, good organization skills and good communication skills. - Knowledge of Excel, Outlook, and other Office applications in a Windows environment. - Analytical ability to resolve problems and recommend solutions for areas of responsibility. - Requires excellent organizational skills to independently prioritize workload and accomplish tasks in a timely manner. - Requires good interpersonal skills in order to effectively and efficiently interact with coworkers in the finance department and at the clinic sites.
