Accounting Intern

Job Overview

We are seeking a part-time Accounting Intern to support our accounting team during the summer. This role will provide hands-on exposure to key accounting processes within a public company environment, including audit preparation, SOP documentation, and general accounting operations. The intern will work closely with the accounting team to improve the accounting and finance function, support ongoing projects, and assist with process documentation. Success in this role looks like being detail-oriented, proactive, and able to contribute to team efficiency while gaining practical, real-world accounting experience.

Responsibilities/Duties

• Assist with audit preparation and support interim audit activities
• Help document and organize standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Support general accounting tasks and ad hoc projects as needed
• Organize and maintain accounting files and documentation
• Assist with process improvement and documentation efforts across the accounting team
• Collaborate with team members to support ongoing accounting initiatives

Qualifications

• Rising college junior or senior pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Strong interest in accounting and public company environments
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Proactive, eager to learn, and able to take initiative
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Ability to use a computer, keyboard, and standard office equipment
• Visual acuity for reading and analyzing data on a computer screen
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members
• Fluency in the English language
