Are you eager to apply your academic knowledge in a real-world corporate finance environment? As a Finance Intern, you will work alongside experienced finance professionals and gain hands-on exposure to financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and data analysis. This entry-level internship is an excellent opportunity for a motivated student to develop practical skills, contribute to meaningful projects, and build a strong foundation for a future career in finance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with monthly financial reporting, including preparing schedules, updating templates, and validating financial data.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities by gathering data, performing variance analysis, and preparing summary reports and presentations.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions, including cost analysis, trend analysis, and KPI tracking.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to collect information, research discrepancies, and help ensure data accuracy and completeness.
  • Help maintain financial databases, dashboards, spreadsheets, and documentation.
  • Participate in special projects such as process improvement initiatives, basic financial modeling, system updates, and other ad hoc tasks to support the finance organization.

Job Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret numerical data and identify trends.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, basic functions, spreadsheets); familiarity with financial modeling or data analysis tools is a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Preferred (Not Required):

  • Exposure to ERP or financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
  • Coursework or foundational knowledge in accounting principles and/or corporate finance.
  • Interest in or exposure to data visualization tools (such as Power BI or Tableau).
