About this role

Our Accounting Intern plays a vital role within our organization. Once you complete our training, your responsibilities will include  assisting with daily, monthly, and annual GL reconciliation and analysis in a growth capacity. This position will also include performing ad hoc projects for the department.  Your attention to detail and adherence to precise procedures will guarantee that our medications meet the highest standards of safety, efficacy, and quality, providing patients with the best possible care and outcomes. Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM at our Sugar Land, TX Location.

 What the Accounting Intern Does Each Day:

  • Prepares consolidation of Financial Statements by assisting with the month, quarter and year-end close process
  • Prepares assigned monthly bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies, including collaboration with accounts receivable and accounts payable clerks
  • Research cash application differences and voucher payable reconciliation differences
  • Performs consolidated financial close functions where responsibilities will include account reconciliations, preparation of journal entries, and other tasks to support the team
  • Creates ad-hoc reports and projects as requested

Minimum Requirements for this Role:

  • 18+ years of age
  • Able to successfully complete a drug and background check
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting (minimum of 12 hours of Accounting w/ GPA of 3.0 or higher)
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; Quva is not able to sponsor applicants for work visas

Any of the Following Will Give You an Edge: 

  • Strong knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook & PowerPoint)
  • Basic understanding of accounting concepts
