Accounting Intern - Year Round

CME Group is currently seeking a Accounting Intern Year round to join our Finance Information Systems team in Chicago. This role involves assisting with day-to-day activities and supporting various finance applications.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Assist in managing Workday Accounting Modules and linked third-party systems

• Coordinate Customer Service Requests with Workday, including user access requests, metadata updates, and basic troubleshooting.

• Document existing workflows and identify opportunities to automate manual tasks and eliminate bottlenecks.

• Assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new system features and patches.

Skills & Software Requirements:

• Strong understanding of Google Workspace products and Excel.

• Desire and drive to learn new technologies

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data discrepancies.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for finance stakeholders.

Education:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master's degree (Major in Finance, Accounting, or Information Systems/MIS).

Location: 

• Candidates must be local to Chicago and able to commute to the office on a hybrid schedule (office address is 20 S Wacker Drive)

Actual pay offered will be dependent on a wide array of factors including but not limited to: relevant experience, skills, education, location of the internship, and the internship area of focus.
