Accounting Internship

Crane Currency has an immediate opportunity for a college student to gain hands-on experience in our Accounts Payable department. This role is part time and onsite based out of Dalton, Massachusetts.  During school breaks, the hours can be up to 40 per week.

How you will make an impact: 

Our program is designed to give you the chance to make a true impact on the business. You will have a direct effect by means of the following accounts payable work: 

• Partner with cross-functional teams to learn the invoice approval workflow.
• Support the weekly payment cycle, requiring accuracy and being well organized.
• Assist with vendor onboarding activities ensuring compliance requirements are met.
• Join continuous improvement initiative.

Knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role: 

• You must currently be enrolled in a two or 4 year degree program with an accredited school and pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.

• Strong attention to detail and organized.

• Excellent oral & written communication skills to include communicating technical aspects to non-technical people.

• Proficient in MS Office, including Excel

• Eagerness to learn

• Ability to work autonomously or in a team

   

   

Preferred:  

• Exposure to ERP systems (example: JD Edwards) is a plus but not required.
