Job Summary:

The Accounting Operations Analyst will perform routine tasks, including the primary duty of monthly bank reconciliations of 250+ bank accounts, coding accounts receivable items, and fielding questions from accounting teams and management.  Must be knowledgeable on multi-location account coding.

Essential Job Functions:         

  • Establish priorities to meet deadlines and goals within guidelines established by management
  • Verify data for accuracy and identify situations where further research and investigation is required
  • Adhere to bank reconciliation procedures and controls
  • Additional accounting tasks and cross training within the department
  • Predictable, reliable and dependable attendance is a requirement of the position.

Education/Experience/Skills

Basic Requirements:

  • Word processing experience in a computer based environment with MS Word
  • Spreadsheet experience in a Windows environment with Excel
  • Ten key and keyboarding skills with emphasis on accuracy and proficiency
  • Ability to prioritize and organize a variety of tasks
  • Strong written and oral communications skills in order to communicate problems and compose basic internal informational messages
  • Ability to independently research and resolve discrepancies
  • Ability to recognize and respect confidential nature of information handled

Preferred Requirements:

  • Two years of experience in daily accounting operations, reconciling accounts, locating general ledger information, and updating financial systems through data entry
  • Must be highly detail-oriented
  • Experience with Microsoft Business Central general ledger desired.
