Position Summary:
The Helen and John C. Hartmann Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering seeks qualified Adjunct Professors to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Electrical Engineering and/or Computer Engineering. Responsibilities include preparing and delivering course lectures, developing and maintaining course materials, assessing student performance, holding office hours as appropriate, and supporting student learning in accordance with department and university policies.
Teaching assignments may be in one or more of the following areas:
Photonics, Nano and Quantum Materials and Devices (PNMD)
Communications, Signal Processing and Machine Intelligence (CSM)
Computer Systems and Networking (CSNW)
Energy, Power Systems, and Sustainability (EPSS)
Robotics, Intelligent Systems, and Data Engineering (RID)
Course assignments are based on departmental needs, faculty expertise, and enrollment. Adjunct faculty are expected to maintain academic standards, foster an inclusive learning environment, and contribute to the educational mission of the department.
Essential Functions:
Develop and deliver lectures
Prepare and grade assignments
Design laboratory experiments (if needed), and examination of student learning.
Learn and use online course management system - Canvas.
Submit grades to the registrar at the end of the semester.
Pre-Requisite Qualifications:
M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field.
Compensation:
$2668 per contact hour

At the university's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be exempted where the candidate can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the university an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.

Period Activity Grade

This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, or other items.
