Our Mission:
The Louisiana State Board of Dentistry’s mission is to protect the public by regulating the professions of dentistry and dental hygiene in Louisiana in accordance with the Dental Practice Act.

About this Position:

We’re looking for an Administrative Coordinator 2 to serve as the first point of contact at the agency, creating a welcoming environment for clients, patients, and visitors and providing administrative support that keeps our front office running smoothly.

Position Duties

One year of experience in administrative services.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will substitute for six months of the required experience.

Job Duties:  

As an Administrative Coordinator you will, 

  • Answer and route incoming phone calls while providing professional and courteous customer service.
  • Greet visitors, applicants, and licensees, providing assistance and directing them to appropriate resources.
  • Receive, sort, and distribute incoming and outgoing mail and correspondence.
  • Maintain organized filing systems, records, and documentation to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
  • Assist applicants and licensees with questions regarding applications, licensing procedures, requirements, and general inquiries.
  • Provide administrative support to daily office operations, including data entry, document preparation, and record maintenance.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information while delivering efficient and responsive customer service.

Position-Specific Details:

Appointment Type: This appointment type can be filled as Probational, Promotional, Lateral Transfer, Detail to Special Duty or Job Appointment
Career Progression: This position does not participate in a Career Progression Group.
Work Schedule: This is a full-time position (40-hour work week); it offers a flexible work schedule.
Compensation: Full-time employees are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including participation in the state’s retirement plan, health insurance, agency-paid short-term disability coverage, paid holidays, and paid annual and sick leave.
