SUMMARY: This position will assist the Controller and Accountant in the day-to-day aspects of plant accounting.  This position will be cross trained on different accounting procedures like yields reporting, packaging entries, receivers, time/attendance procedures, and other duties as assigned.  This position will interact with other plant personnel to ensure adherence to Tyson accounting policies. This position will settle into a certain Accounting Clerk position at the conclusion of training.

***Days/Hours: Monday - Friday 7am- 3.45pm

Requirements:

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Computer Skills: Requires standard computer skills including generating Excel spreadsheets and Word processing. Proficiency in Excel a plus. SAP experience a plus.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Special Skills: 10 Key proficiency a must. Accounting/Excel classes preferred.

Preferred:

• 1+ years of experience preferred. Accounting experience a plus
• Some college and career-minded goals
