About this role
GovCIO is currently hiring for Advanced LVC Integration SME to develop and integrate high-fidelity platform, sensor, and weapon system models within Live, Virtual, and Constructive training environments. This role transforms digital engineering data into realistic physics-based simulations that support military training, mission rehearsal, and advanced system testing. This position will be located in Colorado Springs, CO and will be a onsite position.
Responsibilities
Serves as a technical authority responsible for integrating advanced weapon systems, sensors, and platform models into Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) training and simulation environments. This role translates digital engineering artifacts into high-fidelity simulation representations, ensuring realistic physics-based behaviors, sensor performance, and system interactions that support operational training, testing, and mission rehearsal objectives.
- Analyze digital engineering products, including CAD models, SysML architectures, FPGA/HDL designs, and system specifications to develop parameterized simulation models.
- Translate engineering data into constructive simulation environments such as BSI MACE/ARMOR or equivalent modeling frameworks.
- Develop and validate kinematic models supporting aircraft, missile, space, and orbital system behaviors.
- Design and implement sensor phenomenology models, including RF, radar, and electromagnetic spectrum effects.
- Support the integration of weapon systems and platform capabilities into LVC environments.
- Develop and validate Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) configurations to ensure realistic interaction between physical and simulated components.
- Collaborate with engineers, simulation developers, and government stakeholders to ensure technical accuracy and operational relevance.
- Conduct model verification, validation, and accreditation activities to support training and test objectives.
- Support the development of synthetic environments that accurately represent real-world system performance and operational conditions.
Qualifications
Bachelor's with 12+ years (or commensurate experience)
Required Skills and Experience
- Clearance Required: None
- Demonstrated ability to analyze digital engineering outputs, including CAD, SysML, FPGA/HDL, and related engineering artifacts.
- Experience translating engineering data into parameterized models for constructive simulation platforms.
- Expertise developing kinematic models involving flight dynamics, orbital mechanics, or complex platform behaviors.
- Experience implementing sensor phenomenology models, including RF, radar, and related electromagnetic effects.
- Knowledge of Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) architectures and simulation integration methodologies.
- Experience supporting Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) integration and testing environments.
- Strong systems engineering, modeling, and analytical skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics, or a closely related technical discipline.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience supporting Department of Defense modeling and simulation programs.
- Knowledge of missile systems, space systems, aircraft platforms, or advanced sensor technologies.
- Familiarity with digital engineering methodologies and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
- Experience supporting developmental test, operational test, or mission rehearsal environments.
- Advanced degree in engineering, physics, modeling and simulation, or a related technical field.
