This Application Analyst 3 serves as an IT VAL (Virginia ABC Online licensing) administrator. As an IT VAL Administrator, the position is responsible for the configuration, maintenance and support of all implementations and integrations on the Accela platform. In addition to support activities, the incoming candidate will also be responsible for any requirements development and prioritization of enhancement requests.
Areas of Responsibility
Provide support, administration, and maintenance for VAL, including all configuration and simple-to-moderate scripting
Monitor application health, usage, and overall compliance
Partner with business and IT stakeholders to identify and implement enhancements based on best practices
Develop enhancement requirements and manage request/defect prioritization
Escalate platform issues to Accela support and coordinate with third-party vendors on complex-scripting fixes
Coordinate change and release management for VAL and its integrations, ensuring the process is followed for every release
Monitor data flows between ABC systems, investigate impairments and discrepancies at root cause, and assist with resolution
Work with other IT groups on interface issues and maintain detailed data mappings for integrations
Report regularly on IT support metrics and maintain standards, governance, and technical documentation
Partner annually to review and develop the platform's operational support plan
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field or equivalent hands-on experience.
Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex software application problems, including identifying and resolving bottlenecks
Writes specific, measurable, testable user stories with detailed acceptance criteria
Analyzes raw results and creates meaningful documentation of testing scenarios and outcomes
Up-to-date knowledge of marketplace and technology changes relevant to the Accela platform, monitoring tools, and processes
Exceptional customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Accela platform administration and troubleshooting integration, security, and application issues
Previous use of ServiceNow for support tracking and management
1-2 years’ experience working with JavaScript
Previous experiencing using Atlassian JIRA
Previous experience with gitlab.com
