About this role

Your opportunity:

The Application Engineer provides technical application support, quotes special product designs and presents application training programs for internal and external customers in our industry. The position demonstrates a basic understanding of rep network and sales channel.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Aid product support team on technical support via phone and e-mail for both internal and external salespeople in the areas of product selection and application.
  • Develop and communicate solutions for basic product applications under direct supervision.
  • Gather information and provide resolution to complex field problems. May include travel for onsite support.
  • Understand and interpret industry codes and standards to determine product needs and requirements.
  • Assist with highlighting and communicating key selling points of our current products for delivery to our sales teams and customers.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and work to implement where applicable.
  • Become familiar with the competitor's products and apply this knowledge to the company's advantage.
  • Organize and present trainings to internal and external customers both onsite and offsite.
  • May assist with offsite events including planning, set-up, and basic customer interactions
  • Develop awareness of industry related associations and their purpose.
  • May provide mentoring, training, indirect supervision of other team members, or may have direct reports.
  • Basic understanding of rep network and sales channel.
  • Manage basic individual projects in accordance with predetermined completion dates.
  • Document service calls to record data on product questions and field issues.

What you should have:

  • 4 Year / bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent years of work experience required.
  • 0-2 years of relevant work experience in engineering required.
