Location: Brownsburg Harris Academy
Key Responsibilities:
- Instruct Vincennes University dual credit cybersecurity courses to high school students.
- Develop and deliver engaging, hands-on lessons aligned with postsecondary standards.
- Integrate industry best practices and tools into curriculum and instruction.
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in professional learning communities (PLCs).
- Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment that encourages student growth.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress.
- Communicate regularly with students, parents/guardians, and staff regarding student success and progress.
- Obtain the Indiana Workplace Specialist License through the Indiana Department of Education during the first year of employment.
Minimum Qualifications (must meet one of the following):
- 1. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related field, plus: A relevant industry-recognized certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CEH, etc.), or A minimum of two years of documented, relevant industry experience:
- 2. A Master’s degree in a non-related field, plus: Five or more years of relevant industry experience, and A recognized industry certification in cybersecurity or a related area
Licensing Requirement: Selected candidate must obtain the Indiana Workplace Specialist License within the first year of employment (support will be provided).
