As a Armed Security Officer - Utilities Headquarters in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer at a vital utilities location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support daily operations through strong customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $19.74 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a utilities location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location, including buildings, operational areas, access points, and perimeter zones, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or authorizations as required, and help to identify suspicious behavior, restricted-area violations, and/or policy issues.
  • Support emergency and incident response by communicating with site personnel, first responders, and/or Allied Universal teams, helping to protect people, property, and critical infrastructure during changing conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Level III Armed Guard Card is required in Texas only.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
