As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Detail in Queens, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a public transit location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to evolving situations. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to transit riders, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, stations, surrounding areas, and perimeter locations in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, requesting additional support and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Monitor for unauthorized access, suspicious activity, and potential hazards, helping to deter prohibited activity and reporting observations through required channels.
  • Prepare accurate incident reports and maintain professional communication with transit personnel, law enforcement, and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • The client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • A Law Enforcement Officer License is required.
  • Must be prior law enforcement
  • An Armed Guard Card/License is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
