<strong><br>About the Role<br></strong><br>
</div><div>
<br>The Assistant Director of Education partners with the Center Director and leadership team to ensure consistent delivery of a high-quality educational program. This role focuses on curriculum implementation, teacher development, and creating engaging learning environments aligned with Goddard standards.<br><br>

<br>You will be a hands-on leader - present in classrooms, supporting teachers, and ensuring developmentally appropriate, high-quality instruction.<br><br>

<strong><br>Educational Leadership & Curriculum<br></strong><br>
</div><ul>
<li>Support implementation of Wonder of Learning™ curriculum</li>
<li>Conduct classroom observations and provide coaching and feedback</li>
<li>Review lesson plans and support assessment cycles</li>
<li>Guide child observation and individualized learning</li>
</ul><div>
<strong><br>Teacher Development<br></strong><br>
</div><ul>
<li>Coach, mentor, and support teachers to improve practice</li>
<li>Lead onboarding and ongoing professional development</li>
<li>Foster a positive, growth-focused teaching culture<br><br>

<strong>Family Experience<br></strong><br>
</div><ul>
<li>Communicate educational value to families</li>
<li>Ensure learning is visible through classroom experiences</li>
<li>Support family conferences and engagement<br><br>

<strong>Enrollment & School Support<br></strong><br>
</div><ul>
<li>Partner on tours, enrollment, and transitions</li>
<li>Support retention through strong program quality<br><br>
</li>

<strong>Health, Safety & Compliance<br></strong><br>
</div><ul>
<li>Ensure classrooms meet licensing and QA standards</li>
<li>Maintain accurate student records and documentation</li>
<li>Stay current on regulations and implement updates</li>

<strong><br>Education & Qualifications<br></strong><br>
</div><div>Candidates must meet one of the following per Ohio Department of Job and Family Services requirements:<br><br>
</div><ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Elementary Education, or related field (strongly preferred)</li>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in related field with early childhood coursework (18 semester hours)</li>
<li>Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with leadership experience</li>
<li>Associate degree in related field with progressive childcare experience<br><br>
</li>
</ul><div>Additional requirements:<br><br>
</div><ul>
<li>1+ year leadership or management experience (childcare preferred)</li>
<li>Strong understanding of early childhood development</li>
<li>Experience coaching teachers preferred</li>
<li>Ability to model classroom instruction</li>
<li>Strong communication and leadership skills</li>
<li>Compliance with Ohio Administrative Code 5101:2-12-07</li>
<li>Completion of required trainings<br><br>
