THE POSITION
The Assistant Drawings Manager (Administrative Officer 2) with the PA Department of Revenue plays a key part in keeping Lottery drawings accurate, reliable, and well organized. This position supports drawing officials, oversees schedules, and helps ensure each drawing follows important procedures. You will take part in daily operations that maintain fairness and public trust. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys teamwork, structure, and meaningful responsibility.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This role focuses on overseeing drawing officials, managing drawing procedures, and supporting accurate and secure operations for Lottery games. It also involves guiding staff, reviewing schedules, coordinating with partners, and assisting the Drawings Manager. As an Assistant Drawings Manager (Administrative Officer 2), you will perform the following duties:
- Staff Supervision: Lead drawing officials and manage daily responsibilities for in-state games
- Procedure Maintenance: Create and update guidelines and checklists for drawing functions
- Accuracy Oversight: Verify prize amounts and ensure drawing documentation is complete and correct
- Schedule Development: Prepare monthly drawing schedules and review weekly coverage needs
- Site Evaluation: Assess potential drawing locations and ensure they meet equipment and security standards
- Training Coordination: Conduct training sessions and introduce new drawing equipment and related procedures

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 4:30 PM to 12:30 AM, Tuesday - Saturday, with 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as an Administrative Officer 1 (Commonwealth job title); or
- Three years of experience in progressively responsible and varied office management or staff work, including experience in personnel management, budgeting, or procurement; and a bachelor's degree; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirement:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
