Job Overview:
The Associate Accountant is a key position in the Controllership Revnue group and will report to a Manager of Revenue Accounting. The Associate Accountant will be responsible for maintaining the accounting records and providing accounting support and analysis for revenue and production expense transactions of LPL Investment Holdings and its subsidiaries. The Associate Accountant will assist in implementing process improvements to help the team streamline and enhance efficiencies, promote the analysis and communication of results and provide proactive customer service.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the monthly closing process, including the preparation and review of journal entries, flux analysis, and other review activities
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations
Support financial statement consolidations for actual, plan and reforecast information
Support quarterly and year-end financial reporting and audit deliverables
Identify and participate in the execution of key Sox Controls
Manage processes and controls related to Revenue Accounting
Ad hoc requests as determined by management

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related fields
Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant professional experience
Core Competencies:
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritization, and adapt to change
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Proactive approach to identifying and assessing risk
Basic understanding of internal controls
Effective communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and work in a team-oriented environment
Ability to effectively collaborate well across business functions
Strong attention to detail, self-motivated, innovative, and demonstrated ability to multi-task
Preferences:
Experience in public accounting and broker-dealers
Experience working with Oracle and Excel Spreadsheet Server
CPA license a plus
Pay Range:
